College voor Examens
The College voor Examens (CvE) is an independent administrative authority, responsible for all exams in the secondary education and for examinations for Dutch as second language. Trifork created a new interaction and visual design. A major audible improvement is the text to speech (TTS) integration. We integrated Acapela TTS which makes it possible to have all text based content read to you. The system uses QTI 2.1 to exchange assessments and results. With QTI 2.1 CvE can accept a solid, well proven and world-wide adapted content standard. To prevent cheating, Trifork has developed a client lock-down browser. The new system will provide a robust platform to facilitate the growing number of digital exams.
FD Media Groep
Company.info (part of FD Media Groep) is a large aggregator of business related information, with tens of millions of records containing data about all companies in The Netherlands, from location details to annual accounting reports and judicial information. Replacing an existing, working, search solution is never an easy decision. But that’s what Company.info decided to do once they were convinced about the advantages of elasticsearch: speed of indexing & search but also speed of development. In less a week, Trifork implemented a working PoC using Java and elasticsearch. And while the project is still ongoing, some parts of the search application have already been migrated to elasticsearch. http://www.companyinfo.nl
Since 2011, Trifork has been helping GeriMedica in developing their product ‘Ysis’. Ysis is a web-based electronic health record, currently holding over 30.000 patient records. The application is based on Axon, GWT, Spring, Hibernate and Mongo. Recently, Trifork has implemented several webservices that allow Ysis to integrate with online pharmacies and administrative systems. To ensure high availability and low-impact maintainability for these webservices, all integration functionality was extracted to a separate application that uses Spring Integration and RabbitMQ to handle incoming and outgoing requests. To further separate concerns, the Ysis application landscape
was recently migrated to 10+ single-purpose VMs.
Are you looking to be part of an amazing opportunity? Being part of an exciting project? Be part of the team starting our business in Eindhoven? Are you eager enough to bring new ideas, technical expertise and talent? Then we are looking for you!
Thanks for your interest, more next month.
