Events & Training

MDevCon during Appril festival at Trifork

Trifork hosted the MDevCon event held as part of the Appril festival at Trifork Amsterdam. Pawel Glowacki showed how to build fast native mobile apps for iOS and Android from one codebase. The second speaker, Robin Puthli, shared his development approach and lessons learned on how to let developers code native apps and then port them efficiently without having to resort to html5 cross platform tools.

Belgium Java User Group

Allard Buijze from Trifork presented High Performance and Scalable Architecture at the BeJUG; did you miss the presentation? You can still watch the presentation at Parleys‘.

If you want to learn more about building these scalable architectures, then the following training might be interesting for you:

 Axon Immersion training (2 days)

A 2-day immersion training, the ideal way to learn how to apply CQRS using the Axon Framework, an open source Java framework that helps developers create scalable and extensible applications by providing the building blocks that CQRS based infrastructures typically require. The training will be led by our CQRS expert, Allard Buijze, who has been applying CQRS in numerous projects. As a result, Allard created the Axon Framework. For more info, please contact us or visit the Academy.

Erlang User Conference – Stockholm 9-10 June

The largest European conference dedicated to Erlang – the functional language behind WhatsApp’s success, will feature over 50 talks on open-source applications, products and war stories from the community. Katie Miller, OpenShift Developer Advocate and co-founder of the Lambda Ladies and Stuart Bailey, CTO of Infoblox, will deliver the keynotes. Speakers include: ‘Seven Languages in Seven Weeks’ author Bruce Tate, co-designer of Haskell and QuickCheck John Hughes, O’Reilly author Erik Stenman, Rakuten lead technologist Yosuke Hara, Feuerlabs Co-founder and Developer Advocate Ulf Wiger and many more.

Training and Courses – GOTO Academy

GOTO Academy has several new courses scheduled, including AngularJS, Elasticsearch, Spring and iOS. For more info: visit the Academy. We would like to specifically point out the official Pivotal training.

Enterprise Integration with Spring Course (4 days)

Enterprise Integration with Spring is a four-day training course that is led by our Spring expert, Joris Kuipers, who will discuss the most important topics and technologies related to enterprise application integration. This hands-on training teaches you how to apply Spring technologies to solve integration problems that face server-side developers. For more info, read further or visit the Academy.

Customer success stories

In cooperation with Cito, Trifork has developed a digital reviewers platform for the “Steunpunt taal en rekenen MBO”. Teachers can practise their assessment of the Dutch language skills with the application. Tips for moderators are also provided. The application is made responsive so it can be used at various devices like PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
